PAT TESTING
PAT Testing (Portable Appliance Testing) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances and equipment, to ensure they are safe to use.
Most electrical safety defects can be found by visual examination, but some defects can only be found by the physical testing process.
The Electricity at Work Regulations Act 1989 states that it is a requirement for employers to have any electrical equipment tested and maintained, to ensure no harm or injury is caused.
At Aspire, we offer a 12 point check on all appliances to ensure safety is paramount in any environment, and compliance with any audits you may have. All fuses are changed where required to the correct values and minor repairs, such as cable re-terminations, are all done free within the price.
Records of all testing are kept and sent to the client electronically or in hard copy format.
This inventory includes the item location, details of the test and any other additional information required.
Any items that fails the test are repaired where possible and retested on site or decommissioned and removed to a safe location for repair or disposal.
All our technicians are DBS checked and are familiar with education environments, this ensures a minimum disruption whilst working on site.
